Our Mission is to Educate
Members of the Local Rubber Industry
The Midatlantic Rubber Group is a
professional, technically oriented organization that provides
members opportunity to become part of an active regional network of
problem solvers. It promotes a cohesive relationship among the
people involved in the manufacture of rubber and rubber products and
the suppliers of elastomers, rubber chemicals, and other materials
and services to the industry.
Initially called the PRG & NYRG, the groups were founded
as non-profit organizations and gained affiliation with
the American Chemical Society. Back in 2005, The PRG begain discussions
about merging with the NYRG. In 4th Quarter 2006, the merger became official and
today the new group is known as the Midatlantic Rubber Group (MARG).
The MARG has four basic goals:
- To provide a means for the advancement of
rubber chemistry and technology in theory and practice, and the
maintenance of a high professional standard among its members.
- To promote better, more meaningful
relationships among its members.
- To promote educational, recreational and
social opportunities.
To promote interest in the field of
rubber technology.
